Filter Fabric for Membrane Filter Press
Filter membranes are textile fabrics used in cake-forming filtration to separate solids from a (chemically aggressive and heated) suspension, allowing the filtrate to pass through the fabric. Taking into account the characteristics of the process, the filter cloths retain the solids in layers during the throughput.
Utilizing membrane technology in the filter plates, membrane filter presses have a substantial impact on the solid’s dryness. Compared to conventional filtration processes, it achieves the lowest filter cake residual moisture values.
The four major components of a filter press are the frame, the filter plates, the manifold (piping and valves), and the filter cloth, which is a key ingredient in optimizing filter press operations.
Filter Fabric for Vertical Belt Filter
The vertical tower press belt filter cloth is a specialized filter element of the vertical tower belt filter machine. Between the filter plate group is a “Z”-shaped piece of continuous filter cloth. The belt filter fabric was deployed horizontally between the filter plates. During the process of press filtration, the filter plates are pressed together, then the slurry is pumped into the filtration chamber, the filtrate passes through the filter cloth, and the solid particles are retained on the filter cloth to form a filter cake. Then, the filter plate group is opened and filter cakes are discharged.
The vertical tower press filters are widely used in the washed mineral of heavy non-ferrous metal, particularly for the large throughput and difficult-to-filter fine particles, as well as filter cake moisture requirements of less than 10 percent.
